Great Yorkshire Radio speaks to Anne Handly from Two Rivers Community Centre about the new social supermarket that's opening in Goole on Monday 1st November. "It's not about giving handouts, it's about giving a hands up", as Anne says. Have a listen to find out more about the big support for this project that's come from Siemens and local supermarkets, and how it's open to anyone.

You can see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform at Bridlington Spa on Sunday 14th November. It's perfect to entertain your 5-12 year olds, with pieces kept shorter than usual, and there are also lots of chances to sing and dance along. The show includes Let It Go from Frozen, pieces from the Greatest Showman and Monty Python...something for all ages. Lisa tells us more.

Wednesday 27th October sees an Awesome Autumn event at Hessle Mill in the Humber Bridge Country Park, including a bat trail, colouring in at the new childrens' activity area and themed story telling inside Hessle Mill. It's running from 10AM till 4PM, and everyone is welcome during the Halloween half term holidays! Dr Alex Ombler tells Great Yorkshire Radio more.
